Kolkata Knight Riders vs Gujarat Titans, 39th Match 29th April 3.30 PM IST

KKR will be confident coming into this match on the back of a win in Bangalore where they made a comeback in every department.

In their last home game, Kolkata had conceded 235 runs against CSK and lost by 49 runs while chasing the total. Jason Roy looks in fine touch and he helped set the stage for a 200-run total at Chinnaswamy.

Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, have the momentum on their side with consistent performances in every department. Abhinav Manohar is a promising batsman in the middle order for GT.

Rahul Tewatia continues to do what he does best in the death overs and is an exciting finisher to watch out for in this game. Gujarat Titans are a lot superior in terms of form and consistency and will have an edge in this match.

Kolkata Knight Riders Preview
KKR have won just one of their 3 home matches so far. They haven’t looked comfortable at the Eden Gardens this season. Nitish Rana will be hoping to avoid a hat-trick of losses at this venue as they face the mighty Titans.
Suyash Sharma, Varun Chakravarthy, and Sunil Narine will be key bowlers for KKR in the spin department. Narine and Sharma have the most promising of all the bowlers in this KKR side this year.
The pacers aren’t in their best touch and Russell’s recent performance against RCB is definitely a ray of hope for the Knight Riders. Jason Roy has scored two back to back fifties and has shown how effective
he is as an opener and at number 5 as well.

Gujarat Titans Preview
GT seemed to struggle at their home early this season. After their brilliant comeback against LSG defending a total of 135, Gujarat Titans were successful in their very next game at home.

They were up against a strong MI batting lineup and were defending a 207-run total which they had failed to defend on a previous occasion at the same venue.

This time around, Hardik’s men were confident and cleaned through the opposition’s batting order. Hardik Pandya is bowling at 145 km/h consistently and is a key bowler for GT.

The 18-year old left-arm chinaman bowler, Noor Ahmed has shown great promise and is one to watch out for. Mohammad Shami has the biggest impact in the GT bowling attack. His experience and skill gives GT a big advantage.

Pitch Report
The two teams will lock horns at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The boundaries aren’t very long and scoring sixes will not be a huge challenge. The average 1st innings score on this ground is 163 runs
but a winning total would be something over 190 runs.
